Fire Find uses boolean expression and your search for "words" may be any of the following:
A literal word like "fire". This matches "fire" as well as "FIRE".
A literal word like "=FireFighter". This matches "FireFighter" but not "firefighter" or "FIREFIGHTER".
A wildcard word like "fire*". An asterisk ("*") matches zero or more characters, while a question mark ("?") matches a single character.
A "sounds like" word like "~bosstun". The leading tilde tells it to use the SOUNDEX algorithm to check for words that sound similar. This example would turn up listings for Boston.
Narrowing your search further:
To find all links in any given category, select the category and conduct your search by entering
* in the Query box. This will yield a much larger search result and you can narrow your search from there.
If you are looking for links within your State/Province, enter your State or Province's full name
or 2 character abbreviation. Example: TX or Texas
Try your search using the Town or Company name you are looking for. Remember, you can search the
entire databse by selecting "All Categories" or narrow your search to a specific category.
